不像蘇格蘭、也有別於日本威士忌，自成一派。日本燒酒桶陳年4年，而後分別在雪莉桶和波本桶熟成3年之後，再把這兩個桶的原酒以黃金比例調和在一起。丹波杜氏手工精心釀造的香氣口感非常獨特的單一麥芽威士忌。年產量僅6000瓶左右。非冷凝過濾，無添加色素。
